When asked what is his ultimate goal as a musician, Johnathan Smith replied, "To make people happy!"
Smith certainly achieves this goal and so much more every time he graces a stage with his consistently energetic, emotionally charged style of finessing his instruments. His journey with the ivories began at the tender age of 10 years old as the keyboard and piano player for his mother who was a pastor in East Chicago, Indiana. Life then landed Smith in Charleston, West Virginia in 2003. During his time in WV, Smith's musical journey allowed for him to play on a number of stages including ones in Austria and Japan. He has played in many bands and for many artists including Jonathan Dunn, Paul S. Morton, Aaron Fisher and GhostFleet, and Micah Wilshire. Smith hit the ground running on the music scene when he arrived in Nashville, Tennessee in 2017. He has worked as a session musician, played with many local bands and found a home with the Wilson Brothers Band in March of 2018.
When asked how he feels about being a part of the Wilson Brother's Band, he stated "It's my family, man." Keep your eyes open, your ears keen, and your dancing shoes ready to enjoy this electrifying addition to the Wilson Brother's Band family!
